What is the maximum number you can take in a scheduled workshop or class?

Class numbers are restricted to 10 adults or 8 children. This is not only due to space limitations, but also to keep the classes friendly and to maximise the one-to-one time with the tutors and assistants.

Can I put my name on a waiting list?

If the class you require is full, you can put your name on our waiting list. After the last day of term, you will be notified of free places, which will be available to book on a first come, first served basis

Do I need to bring anything?

Generally, unless otherwise stated, all materials and equipment (except clay) are supplied, however you may wish to bring your own tools, aprons etc. Please note that there is no space available for storing personal equipment outside of class times. You may also wish to bring items that inspire you.

Starter packs of tools are available to purchase at the pottery.

If you are unsure about anything, please discuss with your tutor who will be able to advise you.

Where do I buy clay?

The course fee does not include clay. Stoneware clay be purchased via your tutor 12kg bag.

Please do not fire your own clay in our kilns without first checking with your tutor and completing a test firing.

We have a glaze room and glazes are included in the cost of the firing. Please do not bring in and use your own glazes without first discussing with your tutor and completing a test firing.
