Fired Up
the life behind 318 ceramics
We are so excited to see the first pots that have emerged from the kiln from our Niek Hoogland Summer School.  They look fantastic and there is a lot more to come.
318 Ceramics based in the historic surroundings of Farnham Pottery currently has two job opportunities:
We are looking for a ceramics tutor, ideally with a specialism in throwing and a technician to service the kiln area and glaze resources.

318 Ceramics is very excited to be able to announce that this year they will be running a summer school with the highly acclaimed slipware potter Niek Hoogland. This is a rare opportunity to attend an intensive master class course with this internationally renowned slipware potter who has exhibited all over the world.
“Decoration starts in the making, the shape of the pot, a pouring lip on a jug or a well pulled handle, a texture made on the wheel all become part of the whole process of decoration”

Back in November 2016 a group of first year film students came to the pottery to make a film about 318 ceramics.  Here is the finished programme.  Well done to all the students who were an absolute delight to have at the pottery.  Some budding young film makers I think!  Here is the link to watch it.

We would like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas from all the team at 318 Ceramics.
318 Ceramics is a creative organisation which promotes excellence in ceramics by providing education and support to all makers from beginners to professional.
